Alameda Sewer Interceptor Pipeline Emergency Repair

Project Description

Alameda Sewer Interceptor Pipeline Emergency Repair MapEBMUD will be making emergency repairs to a section of its Alameda sewer interceptor pipeline that was damaged during a storm drain excavation. The Alameda interceptor is a large diameter 60-inch pipeline that receives sewer flow from a number of City of Alameda sewer collections and conveys the wastewater to the District's treatment plant.

EBMUD crew will perform repairs on the existing large-diameter sewer main by excavating to expose a portion of the pipeline that was damaged, inspect the affected section, and install a protective cap to seal the sewer main. The cap will be securely attached to prevent wastewater leakage and protect the integrity of the sewer pipeline and will be cured with cement.
