Administration Building Roofing Systems Improvements Project

Project Overview

EBMUD will be rehabilitating roof terraces at its Administration Building at 375 11th Street from March through October 2026. Work will take place on the building’s upper floors.

The existing roofing system, originally installed in the 1990s, is nearing the end of its useful life. This project will replace the roof terraces and restore systems needed for safe building maintenance.

Schedule

The project will be completed in phases:

  • Webster Street side: March – June
  • Franklin Street side: July – October

Work Hours

Weekdays, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Limited weekend work may occur and will primarily take place inside the building.

All dates are subject to change due to weather or construction conditions.

What to Expect

Project Activities:

Roof work, material deliveries and removal, construction staging, and intermittent crane operations.

Construction Impacts:

Noise, dust, increased truck activity, and temporary road, sidewalk, lane, and parking closures in the immediate area. EBMUD appreciates the community’s patience during construction.

Crane Operations:
Approximately 15 crane days are expected in early April on Webster Street and in September on Franklin and 11th Streets. Vehicle and pedestrian traffic will be impacted. Up to three lanes and the sidewalk adjacent to the Administration Building may be temporarily closed during these operations.

Access to businesses and buildings will be maintained whenever possible during construction. The Pacific Renaissance Plaza garage entrance on Webster Street will remain accessible. Signage will be posted to help direct pedestrians and drivers.
