Here in the East Bay, we are lucky to have Sierra Nevada snowmelt as our primary water source. We filter and disinfect every drop before we send that water to your tap. And we treat the wastewater you flush down the drain to protect both public health and San Francisco Bay.

For more than a century, EBMUD has supported the East Bay’s health, economy, and environment with high-quality water and wastewater treatment. The proposed Fiscal Year 2026 and Fiscal Year 2027 Biennial Budget includes significant investments in our infrastructure while ensuring ongoing financial stability.
