We will continue to rehabilitate pipelines, and upgrade the water treatment plants, tanks, reservoirs, and wastewater facilities that serve you every minute of every day.

EBMUD relies on our nearly 2,000 skilled staff to operate and maintain drinking water and wastewater systems you rely on every day. Our hard-working staff protects the health of 1.4 million water customers and 685,000 wastewater customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Every year, EBMUD invests tens of millions of dollars in repairs to fix or replace the most worn pipes in our system. We are on the job 365 days a year, 24 hours a day because we need these pipes to deliver water to the people of the East Bay.
