BAYWORK

A consortium of water/wastewater agencies in the Bay Area which develops qualified candidates for mission-critical jobs. BAYWORK has a jobs board where you can learn about water/wastewater career opportunities throughout the Bay Area.

Civicorps
Civicorps "empowers Corpsmembers to pursue family-sustaining careers through job training and education in conservation and recycling, creating the next generation of environmental stewards for the Bay Area." Learn more about their conservation and recycling internships online.

Construction Trades Workforce Initiative (CTWI)
"Advancing economic and social justice by strengthening pathways to family-sustaining union construction careers for underrepresented communities." This online flyer shows more information about 2023 CTWI programs.

Cypress Mandela Training Center
A "community based organization dedicated to improving the lives of the people it serves by providing pre-apprentice construction and life skills training along with employment assistance."
 

Jewish Vocational Services (JVS)
A "nonprofit working to close opportunity gaps in employment by supporting jobseekers with the skills and confidence to secure quality careers with family-sustaining wages." JVS is open to all job-seekers. One resource offered by JVS is a free, two-week online job search training program (Job Search Accelerator).

Rising Sun Center for Opportunity

Rising Sun's "workforce development programs specialize in preparing youth, women, and individuals in reentry for high-road careers and green pathways that offer family-sustaining wages." One program they offer is Opportunity Build, a construction trades pre-apprenticeship program (including an annual all-women cohort, Women Building the Bay).

Tradeswomen Inc

"[A]ims to increase the number of women in construction and related trades... support women who are looking for a career in a craft, and act as a resource center for both tradeswomen and employers to bring change into the skilled trades." In addition to resources like training programs, Tradeswomen Inc offers a job board for job-seekers.
