Fire affects everyone living in California. This brochure is intended as a guide for residents and landscape professionals of fire-prone areas in the the East Bay hills but can be applied to any area that is prone to fires. Following these guidelines will reduce fire hazard, but cannot guarantee fire safety. Local ordinances vary; check with your local government or fire department for regulations.
