EBMUD construction on Coliseum Way in Oakland

Necessary utility repairs August to October 2022
 

OAKLAND - East Bay Municipal Utility District's (EBMUD) contractor began emergency repairs on the South Sewer Interceptor near 5900 Coliseum Way in Oakland. EBMUD’s contractor is excavating a 50- foot-long trench in the roadway to repair the sewer interceptor 12 feet below the street.

Parking on each side of Coliseum Way will be eliminated and the roadway reduced to two lanes around the work area during work hours. Work hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours some days and possibly weekends.

Construction is expected to continue through October and will impact traffic. Please use detours and thank you for driving safely in the cone zone.
