On July 16-17, EBMUD contractor will return to apply slurry seal to protect the street. During this time, there will be no vehicle access through the street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to allow for construction and the slurry seal to cure. We anticipate this will only take one day to complete, but it may take up to two days to complete the entire alignment.
On July 20, EBMUD contractor will return to apply striping on the street. Typical work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Schedule is subject to change.
EBMUD crews completed installation of a new water pipeline to improve water service on Oakland Avenue, Olive Avenue and Sunnyside Avenue in Piedmont.
Work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. No parking signs will be posted prior to construction. If you have special needs, please call us and we will make every effort to accommodate.
Crews will notify you, in person or with a door hanger, regarding planned water service interruption to your property. After a service interruption, there may be air in the pipes that may loosen particles in your home plumbing. Close your toilet water supply valves, and then run water from your front hose bib, bathtub and/or cold water faucets for 1-3 minutes. This will dispel any air or loosened particles from your household pipes. If any water quality issues remain after flushing, please call us.
The asphalt paving applied daily is temporary and is designed to provide a safe road surface during construction. Final paving occurs after pipeline work is completed.
