How does the Home Water Report Program work?
You'll recieve a water report by email shortly after your water bill. The personalized report and companion website:
- helps you understand your water use and how it compares to similar, nearby homes.
- provides recommendations and step-by-step advice to help you use water more efficiently.
- provides the latest information on water conservation events and news.
EBMUD compares the water use in individual households to similar households using information on irrigated landscape area, climate and the number of residents. To better personalize water use comparisons and recommendations, customers are first invited to complete a survey with questions about their household and water saving actions. A completed survey is not required to receive Home Water Reports.
Recommended water saving tips are based on each customer’s unique water use patterns, household characteristics and past participation in District water conservation services. Reports are delivered separately from EBMUD water bills, but use the same meter information and correspond with billing periods.
