EBMUD supports the Delta water exporters in securing more reliable water supplies. At the same time:
- EBMUD is concerned about effects the BDCP could have on the health of the Mokelumne Fishery.
- The Delta levees protect critical infrastructure and water supplies of California, and EBMUD believes that the State and all other beneficiaries should contribute to the maintenance and strengthening of those levees.
- EBMUD believes the beneficiaries of the BDCP should be responsible for all direct and indirect costs of their project, including mitigation and restoration necessary to obtain operating permits.
