Wave.pngWondering how the EBMUD community is doing to meet the Water Conservation Act of 2009?  California Senate Bill x7-7 requires urban areas to reduce water consumption 20 percent from baseline levels by the year 2020.

On Monday, March 25, 2019, EBMUD Manager of Water Conservation Richard Harris, will review Senate Bill x7-7 and provide an update on how the state and the EBMUD community are doing to reach the 2020 goal. Richard, a licensed Civil Engineer,  joined EBMUD’s Water Conservation Division in 1999 and has been with the District for 29 years. Richard oversees the development and implementation of EBMUD’s water conservation master plan to support long-term water supply and demand management goals. As a member of the CA Department of Water Resources Urban Advisory Group, Richard participated in the 20x2020 process and is continuing to work with state agencies on the implementation of the Long-Term Water Conservation Framework.
