Spring 2008 - Fall 2009

EBMUD is installing more than three miles of large-diameter transmission pipeline from the Lafayette Water Treatment Plant on Mt. Diablo Blvd. to the intersection of Moraga Road and Draeger Drive in Moraga.  The pipeline will add much-needed reliability to water service in portions of Lafayette, Moraga, and Orinda.

Several city construction projects also are scheduled for summer 2008 (see map).

Environmental Documentation

The Moraga Road Pipeline Project was approved in December 2006 when the EBMUD Board of Directors certified the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Water Treatment and Transmission Improvements Program.  A Supplemental EIR was certified by the Board in November 2007.

The Supplemental EIR consists of the Draft Supplemental EIR, comments received during the public comment period, and responses to comments.  These can be viewed and printed through Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0, a free software.   You may experience problems if you attempt to open these files using an older version of Acrobat Reader.
