Richmond Advanced Recycled Expansion (RARE) Water Project The RARE Water Project will deliver approximately 3.5 million gallons per day of recycled water for industrial use, making an equivalent amount of potable water available to meet other customer needs. This new recycled water supply will help reduce the potential for severe water rationing by EBMUD customers during a drought. EBMUD has prepared an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) that analyzes the potential impacts of the RARE Water Project, and will host a workshop to discuss the project and hear comments from the public, including the West County community where the work will take place. The workshop will take place on March 1, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the West County Wastewater District in Richmond, California. The Board Room is located in the Administration Office at 2910 Hilltop Drive. This location is accessible by public transportation. The environmental process schedule is as follows: Notice of Preparation of an Environmental Impact Report (NOP) Issued
