Water Quality
EBMUD has an extensive water quality program
protecting the high quality of our water in the watersheds and reservoirs,
enhancing the quality through filtration plants, and maintaining that quality
through the distribution system to the consumer's tap.
This multi-barrier approach to contamination
assures that all customers get high quality drinking water that meets or
surpasses all state and federal regulatory requirements. For more detailed information about
water quality, please view the links below.
Annual Water Quality Report
EBMUD's water quality report
provides information on where customers’ water comes from and how water
quality compares with regulatory standards.
Laboratory System
EBMUD's laboratory performs hundreds of thousands of analyses
annually to ensure the safety of the drinking water supply, and to monitor
wastewater treatment and protection of San Francisco Bay.
EBMUD Bottled Water
EBMUD is now bottling water in limited quantities for distribution at
EBMUD-staffed community events.
Water Treatment Plants
EBMUD's six water treatment plants can filter and process more
