Resource Recovery Program

EBMUD, one of the region’s largest wastewater treatment plants, utilizes the plant’s excess capacity and converts the methane generated during the digestion process to renewable energy.  The trucked waste program provides an environmentally friendly and economical disposal alternative for a variety of liquids and food processing solids.

EBMUD offers competitive rates, a convenient disposal location, and an expeditious application process.  Our Wastewater Treatment Plant is open to receive permitted trucked waste for disposal 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
