Pollution Prevention Program

EBMUD's Pollution Prevention Program was developed to help customers reduce the discharge of pollutants in wastewater. This program combines education, public outreach, and permit requirements. It can help commercial and industrial users decrease costs by eliminating permit fees and cutting chemical costs and disposal charges, while reducing the discharge of pollutants to the wastewater treatment plant and San Francisco Bay.

One of the pollution prevention program's goals is to work with businesses and institutions, such as those listed below, to reduce the discharge of pollutants. Please call (510) 287-1651 for permit information.
