e-Bill (view and pay your EBMUD bill online)
An EBMUD e-Bill is a complete electronic version of the paper bill you currently receive, available for your review online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This service is offered through our third-party vendor CheckFree. There is no charge for paying your EBMUD bill using this service.
A secure log-in process and 128-bit encryption protects your online bill and ensures that only you have access to your billing information. You simply review and decide when to pay your e-Bill online with a click of the mouse. You may make a one-time payment or set your account to make automatic payments. You can cancel your e-Bill service at any time and begin receiving paper bills again on your next billing cycle.

Direct Payment Program (Automatic Debit)
You may have your bill payments automatically deducted from your bank account by signing up for our Direct Payment Program. You may obtain an application by:
- Requesting a form online at www.directpaymentplan.com
- Calling Customer Service at 1-866-403-2683 Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Pay Stations & Drop Box Locations
- Drop Boxes: You may deposit your payments in any of our District drop boxes located throughout our service area. Payments are processed the following business day.
- Authorized Pay Stations: You may also pay in person at one of our authorized pay stations. NOTE: If you make a payment at an authorized pay station, you must call Customer Service at 1-866-403-2683 during business hours to report your payment confirmation number. Payments will post to your account within 3 business days.

Payment Extensions
You may request a payment extension or make payment arrangements:
- Online
- During business hours: call Customer Service at 1-866-403-2683 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- After hours: call the Interactive Voice Response system at 1-866-403-2683.
Customer Assistance Program
The Customer Assistance Program can pay a portion of the water bill for qualified low-income customers in single-family dwellings and for eligible homeless shelters.
Landlord Intervening Water Service Program
This program assists landlords with avoiding service interruption when a tenant moves out of a rental property.
