Ruth Bancroft Garden Lecture Series
This exciting set of speaker events highlights topics including growing vegetables, herbs and cutting flowers; choosing colors for your garden that work together; and creating stunning succulent gardens and succulent container displays using these exceptionally water-wise plants. Urban Farmer Store Spring and Summer Landscape Watering Class
The Urban Farmer Store is offering monthly classes to show you how to efficiently manage water in your landscape. Participants will learn about system automation with valves, timer, rain sensors, and the new smart self-adjusting controllers. This class will teach you how to plan your own efficient irrigation system, to help conserve more than half of the water used in the landscape.
Classes are held at 10:30 a.m. in the Richmond Store classroom on the following Sundays: July 18 and August 15. There is no cost for the classes, but space is limited. Reserve your seat now by registering at the Urban Farmer Store website.
Bay-Friendly Landscape Conference
The 2010 Bay-Friendly Landscape Conference and Marketplace will feature interactive sessions, professional networking and a marketplace of cutting-edge technologies and products. Experts will offer practical tools and solutions to creating landscapes that conserve natural resources, prevent pollution and cut greenhouse gas emissions while working with the uniqueness of the San Francisco Bay watershed. This conference is for landscape professionals in the public and private sectors.
