Free Conservation Devices

Save precious water easily by using water conserving faucets, aerators, showerheads, and hose nozzles. Devices are provided free of charge to customers on a one-time basis per account. 

Note: If you have picked up or received devices previously from EBMUD you are not eligible to participate in the program.

Devices Available Include:

• Water conserving showerheads (2.0 gallons per minute)
• Kitchen faucet aerators (1.5 gallons per minute)
• Bathroom faucet aerators  (1.0 gallons per minute)
• Toilet Low Flush Bag - (Every flush saves up to 0.8 gallons per flush. Recommended only for older toilets using 3.5 gallons per flush.)
• Hose Nozzle - (Select any one of 5 sprays, from full force to a water saving mist).
• Dye Tabs (test for toilet leaks).

Here's how you can receive water conserving devices:

• Request a free, in-person water conservation survey. Call 1-866-403-2683. An EBMUD representative will provide devices as needed during the survey.
• Complete and return a self-survey.  The survey will help you determine what devices you can order, and these will be mailed to you.

Note:

• Single-family accounts: limit of one kitchen faucet aerator and one hose nozzle; limit of two per account for other devices.
• Multi-family accounts: there is a limit of 10 each device type and one set of devices per dwelling unit. You must be the owner of the property or have the water account under your name.

• One lifetime distribution per account.
