EBMUD relies on our nearly 2,000 skilled staff to operate and maintain drinking water and wastewater systems you rely on every day. Our hard-working staff protects the health of 1.4 million water customers and 685,000 wastewater customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Staff maintains water flow and treatment, adheres to state and federal water quality regulations, and keeps the public safe at our treatment, storage and pumping facilities as well as at facility construction sites. They work on pipe maintenance and replacement, leak detection, conservation, water supply and drought planning, watershed land management and recreation, customer service, and many, many other aspects of these complex systems.
