In a continuing effort to improve the services we provide to our customers, EBMUD commissioned the Evans/McDonough Company (EMC) to conduct quantitative and qualitative opinion research in order to understand customers' opinions (compared to the previous research when applicable), on the following topics:
- Levels of concern regarding water issues in the Bay Area
- Job ratings for Bay Area utilities
- Ratings of how well EBMUD carries out its job responsibilities
- Credibility of individuals and organizations that speak out on water issues
- Water usage and conservation
- Identification of water conservation awareness
- Participation in water conservation
- Average daily water use
- Ability to store and deliver a reliable supply of water
- Willingness and actions taken to reduce water use
- Yard or garden care
- Effects of global climate change on water supplies
