WaterSmart Commercial Clothes Washer Rebates

Program Period January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009

EBMUD is offering a WaterSmart Commercial Clothes Washer Rebate Program (CCWRP) for high-efficiency clothes washers.

Commercial clothes washers are family-sized clothes washers usually found in coin laundry stores and apartment buildings with common laundry facilities. By replacing a conventional clothes washer with a high-efficiency washer you can use 30-50% less water and 50% less energy. In addition, these state-of-the-art washers require less detergent and extract more moisture than conventional washers.

Rebates
The rebate amounts are $150 per qualifying washer for multi-family properties and other businesses and $250 per qualifying washer for coin laundry stores.

Eligibility
Owners and operators of multi-family properties and public and private institutions with common area laundries, coin laundry stores, and other businesses with on-premise washers in EBMUD’s service area are eligible to apply. Washers must have been purchased or a lease agreement signed between January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009. Application must be postmarked within 90 days of purchased or lease of qualifying machine(s).
