Recycling Projects Under Construction
EBMUD has two recycled water projects currently under construction. Information about these projects, along with their estimated water savings, can be found below.

East Bayshore Recycled Water Project
The multi-phased East Bayshore project eventually will supply an annual average of 2.5 MGD of recycled water from EBMUD's own water recycling plant to portions of Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville, and Oakland. Types of use will include landscape irrigation, industrial uses, toilet flushing in office buildings, and possible wetlands restoration. The first phase of this project is under construction and is expected to start supplying up to 0.7 MGD of recycled water by Spring 2008.
San Ramon Valley Recycled Water Project
The San Ramon Valley Project is a joint effort between the Dublin San Ramon Services District and EBMUD. About 2.4 MGD of recycled water eventually will be used to serve irrigation customers in portions of the EBMUD service area communities of Blackhawk, Danville, and San Ramon. The first phase of this multi-phased project started delivering an annual average of up to 0.7 MGD of recycled water to EBMUD customers in February 2006.
