Andy Katz was elected to the East Bay Municipal Utility District in 2006, representing Ward 4, which includes Albany, Berkeley, El Cerrito, Emeryville, Kensington, and North Oakland. 

Andy is an environmental planner and air quality advocate for Breathe California.  He is active in environmental and public health organizations, and is a member of the Sierra Club California Executive Committee.  Prior to his election, he served for five years as a member of the city of Berkeley Zoning Adjustments Board. 

He is interested in increasing water conservation, protecting water quality, and increasing awareness and efforts to stop global warming. 

He has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of City Planning degree from U.C. Berkeley, and lives in Berkeley.
