100th Birthday Party and Community Fair

Update: Eventbrite is closed, but the public is still welcome to attend without an Eventbrite ticket. Please plan ahead. No parking is available on site. Please bike, rideshare or take BART to MacArthur or Rockridge Stations. A free shuttle bus will take guests to the park and back. 


You're invited to EBMUD's 100th Birthday Party and Community Fair on Sunday, May 21 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Lake Temescal in Oakland. Join the fun as we celebrate a century of service to the people of the East Bay! Enjoy live performances, a kid zone, touch-a-truck, food trucks and a beer and wine garden to benefit the Water Lifeline program.

The North parking lot off of Broadway will be closed for the EBMUD 100th Birthday Party and Community Fair. The park remains open to the public, but parking will be limited to the street and the south Broadway Terrace parking lot. Please plan accordingly.

GETTING THERE 🚲 🚄: Event parking is extremely limited. Please ride BART or drive to MacArthur or Rockridge stations. Free parking is available at the Rockridge or MacArthur BART parking lots. Free shuttles will run from Rockridge and MacArthur BART every 10 minutes to ensure everyone can make it to the party. Free bike valet will be provided!

Event Experiences 

  • Event stage - Bring a picnic blanket and listen to the sounds of local performers.  
  • Kids Splash Zone - Play games and visit Plumbers Point and check out the Mobile Education Unit from the East Bay Regional Park District.
  • Drake's Centennial Beer & Wine Garden - Taste Drake’s Brewing Co. & EBMUD beer collaboration "Water Wings" and sip wines from LangeTwins Family Winery sourced from the Mokelumne River watershed. All drink ticket proceeds will directly support the Water Lifeline Program.
  • H20 Science Hub - See the latest technology and innovations in water.   
  • EBMUD Booths & Community Booths - Engage with EBMUD, local businesses, and organizations.  
  • Food Trucks - Nosh on food options from local vendors. 
  • Water on Wheels - Fill up on EBMUD water during the event (BYOWB - Bring your own (refillable) water bottle!).
